Everyone who knows my son know he LOVES Mickey Mouse. When he sees ‘the mouse’, the world is oblivious, and he zones out to Mickey. He screams “ohhh tooooooodles”, and loves saying “duck”.
Well, it was time to move Anthony to a big boy bed since he crawled out of his crib, and it just wasn’t safe anymore. The crib turned into a toddler bed didn’t do much, he would just roll right out onto the floor, or crawl over the rails, so we bought him a Mickey Mouse bed. I was looking for bedding for it, and I could not find a single store bought Mickey Mouse bedding set that I liked, so I dug out my mother-in-laws old sewing machine, went on Pinterest, found a pattern, hit the fabric store and created this quilt for Anthony.
I am quite impressed with my efforts if I do say so myself. It was really my first real experience sewing anything that was going to be used, and wasn’t a button. I made a few mistakes here and there, but that is all part of the learning curve.
After making Anthony’s quilt, I decided to buy myself a nice new machine, and some accessories, and I have been creating ever since!
