First Day Women’s Vitamins Review

If you’re anything like me, when it comes to choosing a multi-vitamin, you usually think about your kids, completely forget yourself and end up eating an extra one of your kids vitamins to get your “daily requirement”. With First Day, I am able to get vitamins for everyone in my family all in one place, and delivered right to my door!

A few months ago, I shared a post about First Day’s Kids Multivitamins, and found a winner for kids multivitamins and, with all of the great feedback I heard, I wanted to share my experience with the Women’s Multivitamins. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I am in recovery from brain surgery. It’s just about as fun as it sounds. During a checkup for my Epilepsy, we found out that I had a Chiari Malformation that was causing a syrinx (cyst) on my spine and slowing the flow of CSF to my brain. To help fix this, I had a fossa decompression and a c1 laminectomy on March 18.

Recovery has been a giant roller coaster. For three weeks, I was getting daily infusions of a clotting medication for bleeding, and have been on a long list of meds. The pain is expected, and has been pretty easy to manage, but the light sensitivity I’ve been having and the lack of appetite have probably been the worst. Light sensitivity has been managed by rocking some pretty awesome wrap around sunglasses, and my prescription sunglasses indoors. Eating has been tricky because I am just so tired and nauseous all the time, but I am making up for the loss of nutrients by supplementing with First Day Women’s Vitamins. Each morning, with my morning routine of meds, I take my gummy vitamins, and set myself up for success the rest of the day.

What’s In First Day Vitamins?

Just like the Kids Multivitamins, the Women’s vitamins taste just like Annie’s Bunny Fruit Snacks. They are REALLY GOOD, and you can’t even tell that you’re taking vitamins. First Day Vitamins are made with organic fruits and vegetables to give you all of the essential vitamins and minerals you need like; Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B9, B12, C, D3, K2, Magnesium, Zinc and Biotin. Vitamin A is important for skin, eye health, and immunity. Vitamin B1 helps support energy metabolism, nervous system function, and heart health. Vitamin B12 is important for healthy red blood cells. Vitamin B2 helps convert the food you eat into energy and supports red blood cell production. Vitamin B6 is important for keeping your immune system functioning properly. Vitamin B9 helps the body make new cells and is essential for pregnant women. Vitamin C is important for immunity, collagen production, and iron. Vitamin D3 supports bone health and calcium absorption, and Vitamin K2 is important for blood clotting and bone health. First Day Vitamins are gluten-free, vegan, non-gmo, corn-syrup free, gelatin-free, and are made from organic fruits and veggies. Their vitamins are made with organic sugar instead of an artificial substitute, because First Day doesn’t want to use ingredients that they don’t know much about. Here’s what ingredients are in First Day Women’s Vitamins:

Organic Fruit and Veggie Blend: Apple, Kale, Broccoli, Spinach, Carrot, Parsley, Beet, Green Cabbage, Blueberry, Raspberry, Strawberry, Tomato

Other Ingredients: Tapioca Syrup, Cane Sugar, Water, Pectin, Citric Acid, Natural Colors, Natural Flavors, Organic Fruit and Vegetable Blend, Sunflower Oil, Carnauba Wax

What Makes First Day Different?

First Day uses a scientific approach to nutrition. Using the latest scientific breakthroughs, First Day experts have designed their multivitamins to complement our daily habits. Their high-quality multivitamin formulation is the result of investigating thousands of clinical studies to understand what we lack, and they only added those vitamins and nutrients into their multivitamins. That way you’re not getting more of a vitamin you already have, or less of the ones you actually need. Remember the old adage “more isn’t always better”? Many vitamins today use cheap chemicals that our bodies can’t absorb in amounts that are much higher than we actually need! In the long term, taking these sorts of vitamins can be harmful to health because our bodies have a tough time getting rid of the excess. Take plants as an example. Overwatering your plants can damage their roots, wilt the leaves, and ruin their growth. That’s why First Day focuses on being a nourishing vitamin filling in the gaps, not overloading you nutrients. So, we’ve consciously formulated our vitamin around what we most commonly lack. Then we made our gummy to fill the gaps in our everyday needs with the finest ingredients. (Source)
