Christmas Cheer

Hey Y’all!

I’m not just all about food and menu planning, I love to craft and decorate too.  Christmas is my favorite holiday, hands down.  And, I couldn’t think of a better time to put my tree up than during the Thanksgiving weekend, when love, and family and being thankful is in the air.

All of my decorations are handmade by my grandmother, who as you know is very near and dear to my heart.  Putting up my tree was very hard, but it was so nice at the same time.  I could feel her love shining through as I placed each angel on the tree.

Christmas is the time of year when loved ones gather and share everything.  Love, Hope and Faith are three words that stick out to me this time of year, and one of my favorite bible verses, “And now these three remain:  faith, hope and love.  But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor 13:13.  I am not a very religious girl, but Christmas brings out my faith and my belief in all good things.

Faith makes all things possible.

Love makes all things easy.

Hope makes all things work.

I do love Christmas an abnormal amount though.  I feel like a little elf sometimes, always decorating and wrapping, and creating new things.  Today for example, Anthony and I made ornaments for people in our family.  We used his hand print as snowmen, and I decorated the snowmen.  Then I filled the ornaments with snow, glitter and confetti and sealed it with a bow.  I am known as the bow lady at Lindt.  I sometimes feel like Minnie Mouse I put bows on so many things.

Well, here is my tree and the ornament that Anthony and I made.  I hope that whenever it is that you put up your tree your faith is alive, and love shines through, and I hope that it all goes right for you, and there’s no burnt bulbs!

What is your favorite part of the Christmas season?  Share with me!  I love hearing from y’all.  It sends a little sunshine my way when I hear back from my beloved followers.
