Happy May, everyone! May is always such a busy time for us, it’s Anthony’s birthday, my family comes out for their annual visit, it’s my Mom’s birthday, it’s my sister-in-laws birthday, and the list goes on and on!
I am very proud of myself, and stuck to my guns, and posted all of the new recipes I could for April’s Month of Meals, and this month have included 5 NEW recipes for May’s Month of Meals! Sign up with your email address above to have the new recipes delivered right to your inbox! May’s new recipes include:
Chicken Quesadillas
Easy Grilled Chicken and Veggie Skewers
Chicken Noodle Casserole
BBQ Meatloaf
Eggplant Parmesan
May’s Month of Meals includes 31 days of dinners to feed a fmaily of 4 with special recipes for Mother’s Day, Cinco De Mayo, and Memorial Day for only $141.54!
I used Walmart Grocery again like I did in January, February, March and April, to figure out the final cost of groceries for this months menu. Walmart’s prices are pretty universal anywhere in America, so if you stick to the grocery list, and hit up sales at your local grocery stores you could save even more money! Eating healthy and delicious meals doesn’t have to cost a lot money. With a little bit of preparation, which I have already taken care of and some dedication you can keep your family and your wallet full.
As we go through the month, if there isn’t a recipe up yet, I will be posting daily recipes that for the most part coincide with the recipes listed on this menu plan. If you haven’t yet, at the top of the page, enter your e-mail address and have every recipe sent directly to your inbox along with future budget-friendly menu plans. All recipes included in this meal plan are kid-tested and kid-approved by all the kiddos I cook for at school.
Scroll down to the bottom for a printable menu and grocery list with everything that you need to make these meals at home. The grocery list has some extra space in case I forgot an ingredient or two – which happens from time to time.

With nursing school just about done and almost all of my finals over for the week, today is THE DAY i go shopping to follow this meal plan! Thank you so much for doing this, we are on such a tight budget that sometimes the last two weeks of the month I’m scrounging to figure out dinner. This is a lifesaver, I can’t thank you enough.
