Winter fruit is the best! Combine apples, grapes, clementines and kiwi together with a squeeze of lemon and have a dish that everyone will be coming back for.
Living in Colorado, there isn’t a lot of choices for fresh produce in the winter, without spending a fortune on it, so I took advantage of all of the fresh fruit our local grocery store had to offer.
Originally the plan was to make some mimosas with the fresh fruit for our brunch, but we skipped the fruit in the mimosas and when straight to fruit salad! It was a very refreshing way to finish breakfast and the kids loved it!
1 red apple, cut into bite sized pieces
1 yellow apple, cut into bite sized pieces
2 cups red and green grapes, cut in half
2 kiwi, diced
1 large lemon, juiced (about 1/8 cup) 2 tbsp honey
In a small bowl, whisk lemon juice and honey together.
Combine all fruit in a large bowl and toss with lemon and honey mixture.
