Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki is so easy to make, and involves minimal effort!

This is a recipe that I feel like I have been trying to share for a long while now, and I have finally pulled it together, and have it to share.  As I am sure you can tell, I love my slow cooker.  It makes dinner time so easy, especially when you are a working Mom/Dad and have kids with 100000 things on their schedules.

Being able to prep a dish the night before or in the morning and coming home to dinner ready takes so much stress away at the end of the night, and this simple recipe will help your stress disappear.  All you’re responsible for to make this dish is to boil some rice and cook a frozen veggie!

Told you it was easy right!?!

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs chicken breast
2 cloves (2 tsp) garlic, minced
1/2 cup honey (or brown sugar)
2/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/2 cup chicken stock
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tbsp fresh ginger, finely minced
white or brown rice, cooked according to package directions
green onions, for garnish sesame seeds, for garnish

Directions:

In a small bowl, mix garlic, soy sauce, honey, rice wine vinegar (you can substitute white wine vinegar here), chicken stock, sesame oil and ginger until well combined.

Place chicken breast in the bottom of your slow cooker, and pour sauce over the top.

Cook on low for 6 hours.

Remove lid and cook for 30 more minutes.

Serve with white or brown rice and your favorite veggie. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
