It’s never too late to start saving!
September’s menu is one of my favorites in a long time. It is full of family favorites, and some easy weeknight slow cooker meals to make mealtime flawless. Scroll down to see what’s on September’s menu.
September is also Hunger Action Month in America. Right now 1 in 6 kids are struggling with hunger, and do not know where their next meal is coming from. Creating these menu plans each month is one way that I can help families save money on their groceries. With each menu I sell this month, I will be donating $0.25 to Feeding America. Every dollar donated will provide 10 meals to hungry families in your community.
My menus are very budget friendly, and by shopping smart, you can save hundreds each month. One way to shop smart is to shop the sales, and buy in bulk when possible. My $55 Costco membership has saved me probably $1000 over the last year. I like to buy meats, eggs, pastas, (some) canned goods/pantry items there. For fresh produce, I like to shop at my local grocery store.
The rest of the items on my list, I usually buy at Walmart. They have great prices on grocery items and dairy, and if you use their app and scan your receipt, you can get money back if something that you bought at Walmart was more expensive than a local store. Last year my Mom had over $100 in savings that she used to buy Christmas presents. I like to use Walmart when I plan my menus too because Walmart prices are pretty much the same across the country. I’m not writing this for Walmart or anything, but when you want to save money on groceries, it’s a fantastic option to eat healthy for less.
