Easy Cheesy 20-Minute Homemade Cheeseburger Macaroni Recipe
1 lb elbow macaroni, cooked according to package directions and drained
1 lb ground beef
2 tsp each; salt and garlic powder
1 tsp each; black pepper and paprika
1 lb (16 oz) block velveeta, cubed
1/2 cup whipped cream cheese
1 cup half and half or whole milk
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, place a large pot over medium high heat. Add ground beef and season with salt, garlic powder, black pepper and paprika. Cook, stirring frequently, until ground beef is cooked – about 8 minutes.
Reduce heat to low. Drain excess fat and add milk or cream, velveeta and cream cheese to pot with beef. Stir to combine. Let simmer over low heat until velveeta is melted, and and created a smooth sauce.
Add cooked and drained pasta to cheese and beef sauce, and stir to combine. Let cook for 2-3 minutes, while stirring to make sure that the cheese really coats your pasta, and gets into all the little holes.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
