A Month Of Meals On A Budget | July 2015 Meal Plan | 31 Days of No Repeat, Kid-Friendly Dinners for $155 with FREE Printable Grocery List and Recipes

Over the past six months, I have been sharing monthly dinner meal plans with free printable grocery lists for my readers, being sure to keep the budget under $200 for the month, and this month is no different!

July’s menu plan has 31 days of no repeat, kid-friendly meals with some great new recipes for only $155.40, and I have included a FREE printable grocery list with all of the ingredients you need to make these meals.

Like in other months, I used Walmart Grocery (click this link for $10 off!) to figure out the cost of the groceries for this months menu.  Walmart’s prices are pretty universal, so no matter where you live, if you shop strictly at Walmart for the groceries, you’ll be right around the $155 mark.

July 2015 Mom s Bistro Month Of Meals-page-001Want to save even more money?  Shop your local grocery stores.  For example, this week at my local Safeway, ground beef is on sale for $2.99 a pound, and the ground beef that I have included in this grocery list is, $3.99 a pound.  By buying your ground beef at your local grocery store, you’ve already saved $7!  Don’t forget to use your store cards either.  Again, this week at my local Safeway, I got an e-mail with some J4U Savings, and got some 16 oz bags of shredded cheese for only $1.96.

  • I LOVE your meal plans and recipes. It feels so good to know what’s for dinner every night and have everything ready to go.
For July, will you be posting the recipes for the new meals? It helps me so much.
    Thanks for doing this!

    • Hi Melissa!

I will be posting the new recipes for July throughout the month. Sign up for my newsletter and the new recipes will be sent right to your inbox! Thanks so much for your kind words! I am glad that the meal plans are helping you out!

      Have a great day!

      Lindsie =)

  • Hi Lindsie! Just started using your site. I feel like this is one of the best put together monthly meal plans I have used and that is saying something!! You’ve got a really great balance of kid-friendly and budget friendly without meals coming out too boring or over-fancified 🙂 Just wondering if you’ll be posting the ‘New’ recipes soon. I’m gearing up for chicken caesar salad tomorrow and I’d like to follow your recipes as much as possible to sync w/ the grocery list you attached (thanks for that BTW). Keep up the great work!

    • Hi Machelle!

Thank you so much for the kind words!! I am glad it can help! I had A LOT of computer issues this weekend, and couldn’t actually keep a program open on the computer for more than 10 sexonds, so I didn’t get to post, but if you have joined my e-mail list, you should be getting an e-mail for the chicken caesar salad today by lunch time!

      Sorry for the delay!

    • Great to hear! At the very top of your page, there is an orange bar. Enter your e-mail address up there, and you’ll start getting emails whenever there is a new post!

Thanks so much for sharing about the salad!

      Lindsie =)

  • Thank you sooooo much! I love cooking and menu planning, but sometimes it burns me out.
Right now it’s just me, my husband, and our toddler but we’re adding my mother-in-law who’s in a tight spot. I’m not sure how much she’ll be able to contribute to our house (and things are already tight). We definitely need all the help we can get!
I will likely add in a few of my own recipes/family favorites, but your menu will make my life easier!

    • Hi Jessica!

Thanks for the kind words! Cooking can be so muh work especially with a toddler, so if you have a few extra minutes – especially when your mother in law moves in, try to make a freeze a few meals, so that all you have to do is toss them in the oven!
If you have any questions, or need help with anythingb with the menu and the recipes, shoot me an email and I will be glad to help out!

      Have a great day!

  • I think that cornmeal is missing from the freebies list. I am glad that I looked as that is not an item that I regularly have! 🙂

    • Hi Kristin! Good luck! A lot of stuff freezes really well, so if you get one free day to just do nothing but cook, these are the recipes that I suggest:

      – spaghetti sauce
      – rice
      – cheese burgers – make the patties and freeze them
      – baked ziti
      – tomato soup
      – meatballs – for both meatball subs and spaghetti and meatballs … cook the meatballs in the spaghetti sauce, and then freeze them separately for each meal.
      – chicken satay – chop up the chicken and make the marinate – freeze the chicken in the marinate
      – lasagna
      – chicken nuggets

All of these recipes freeze great, and are easy to reheat for a quick dinner!

  • This really doesn’t come out to 155.40 not everyone has all items on hand. I was really into this until I started looking through the recipes and the free printable grocery list and saw items missing. It’s really unorganized.

    • Well this one is from 2015, and has items purchased at the prices where I am. You’re correct there are items missing, however, I was still getting into the groce of planning. I apologize for the inconvenience for you, but I am not perfect!

    • Hey Heather! They are to feed a family of 4, and seem to feed families fairly well with this amount of food. But, if you have a 12 year old (especially if it’s a boy) you might need to buy more food lol. But, no these menus should feed your family perfectly

  • I’m worried about the shopping list. You have corn listed 5 times over the month but only have 64oz of frozen corn listed. if your feeding a family of 4 (4oz) 1/2 cup per scheduled meal you will not have any on 28th.

    • Hey Diana.

It was probably just a type as 1/2 cup corn won’t feed an entire family! I make notes on the post itself to check the grocery lists since I’m not perfect and forget things sometimes. Happy menu planning!
