Puppy chow is a huge hit in our house.  I took our Valentine’s Day Chocolate Covered Strawberry Puppy Chow and made a few tweaks to make this super-banana-y version.

Tomorrow is National Banana Cream Pie Day, and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than with this puppy chow.  Making it couldn’t be any easier, and your kiddos will love this as a treat in their lunches throughout the week!

I love making Puppy Chow – it’s super easy to make, and everyone loves it, and the possibilities within making Puppy Chow are endless. This recipes uses instant pudding to flavor the chocolate covered cereal, but cake mix makes a great alternative.  To make this recipe look even more banana-y, substitute the white chocolate for yellow candy melts – they have a vanilla-ish flavor, and melt just like white chocolate and are the perfect substitution for this recipe.

Here’s how to make it.  If you want the printable recipe, scroll down to the bottom and click the link for a printable version.
