Apple Cider Sangria

Apple Cider Sangria is the perfect addition to any Thanksgiving dinner!

I always tend to forget about making fun drinks during the holidays, and usually just resort to wine and beer.  And while wine and beer definitely work, it’s not very festive.  At our Friendsgiving this past weekend, I served this Apple Cider Sangria, and it was a crowd favorite!  Being pregnant, I couldn’t taste it myself, but D.J. was there to take the reigns and help make and taste the sangria.  Thanks babe!

Now this might be more of a punch than a sangria, but whatever it is you want to call it, it’s super easy to make and at the end of the night there are booze soaked apples to eat!

To make the sangria, all you need prosecco, apple cider, fireball and an apple. We used an entire bottle of prosecco and a pint of fireball to our sangria, but of course, adjust to your taste, and tolerance.

It was a lot of fun to make a drink to serve at Friendsgiving.  Make a kid-friendly version of this sangria by substituting the prosecco for sparkling apple cider and a couple cinnamon sticks instead of fireball.  Apple Cider Sangria is very easy to make, and your guests will love it!  Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

1, 750 ml bottle prosecco, chilled
4 cups apple cider, chilled
1 apple, cored and sliced
1 pint fireball whiskey, chilled

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together in a large pitcher and let stir.  Let sit in fridge for 15-20 minutes before serving.

Dress it up and add a cinnamon stick.
