Living in Colorado is great, between the beautiful landscapes, and all of the fun things to do, we’re always busy and outdoors. The only downfall to living out here is the DRY, DRY air and all of the boogers!
Moving from Florida where the air is always humid and moist to Colorado was a big shock to us, and our noses. Especially now, in the early winter/fall. Because the weather is still fairly warm, we are sleeping with the windows open, and the dry air, is just reeking havoc on our sinuses and with the dry air we usually wake up with dry, scratchy throats, dry noses full of hard boogers and we’re always coughing.
If you’re a parent, you’ve probably been dealing with boogers from the day you brought your little bundle of joy home. Our family doesn’t usually suffer from sinus issues – until we lived in Colorado in the winter time. With the combination of the dry and cold air, our sinuses have become a mess. Not only do we all have boogers, we always have stuffy, runny noses – like someone shoved cotton balls up there, and we have been looking for a solution since we moved here.
We’ve tried the NetiPot (sp?), saline sprays, and even natural remedies, but nothing seemed to work, so when I was asked to review NasaMist Pediamist Saline Spray, I immediately jumped on the opportunity, because I’m sick of having a stuffed nose myself, and as much as I love Anthony, I don’t love the boogers that he picks out of his nose and hands to me all the time! Gross!
NasaMist Pediamist Isotonic Saline Spray is a sterile natural soothing saline spray. Applying a gentle fine mist in the nose is an excellent way to keep the nasal passages moist. Sounds like an everyday saline spray, right? Nope! This one is different. NasaMist Pediamist has a longer tube than most nasal sprays so it really gets up there, in their little nasal passages to clean it out, and unlike other sprays the mist of NasaMist Pediamist is gentle, yet effective – I really think it’s because of the longer tube.
This drug-free, non-burning saline spray helps alleviate nasal allergies, dryness, post-nasal drip and congestion from the common cold or flu. Hypertonic delivers over twice the concentration of saline as Isotonic. Pediatric provides a specially designed box for babies and children. NasaMist Pediamist Saline Spray can be used for:
- Nasal Allergies and Dryness
- Sinusitis, Rhinitis
- Allergic Asthma
- Post Nasal Drip
- Sinus Pressure & Nasal Congestion
- Nasal Symptoms from Flu and Cold
- Nasal Irritation from Occupational and House Dust, Fumes, Animal Dander, Grass, Pollen, Environmental Pollutants and Smoke
After using the saline spray we were able to make it to the morning and not wake up with the nasty symptoms – we still were a little dry because Colorado is VERY dry, but, it really helped. We used PediaMist originally with Anthony to relieve his dry nose and all of his sinus problems, and we were so impressed with the results, DJ and I started using it ourselves. After using PediaMist, we immediately noticed a difference in our breathing, our noses were moist once again, and the boogers seemed to go away – in everyone.
I would recommend this product to any one suffering with dry and stuffy noses. I love how natural it is, and I really enjoy that there is limited plastics in the packaging. The bottle of PediaMist says “Cleanse, Moisturize and Soothe. Gentle Saline Mist” It does exactly that – gently soothes, cleans and moisturizes dry stuffy noses!
