If you’re looking for a quick and easy side dish to finish up a meal, this
5 Minute wilted spinach is the perfect recipe for you! With just a touch of butter and garlic, you can have a delicious and healthy vegetable side dish to accompany your favorite dinner.
We made this spinach with our
Christmas Italian Stuffed Pork Tenderloin that we has last week, and it was so beautiful and Christmassy against the bright red of the cranberry-balsamic glaze. I have always loved spinach, and I love how easy this recipe is. Even Anthony eats it! He loves the butteriness of the spinach and how he can twirl it up on his spoon like spaghetti.
You can toss this spinach with some cooked up pasta and parmesan cheese for another easy week night meal. Whether you’re just looking for an easy side dish or something quick to make to finish up a meal, this 5 minute wilted spinach is perfect. I know how busy week nights can get, and a 5 minute recipe makes life so much easier!
1 lb baby spinach, washed
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp (1 clove) fresh garlic
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
In a large pot over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add garlic and stir in. Cook for 30 seconds, just until you smell the butter.
Add spinach, and stir into butter. Lower heat to medium-low, and season spinach with salt and pepper.
Stir constantly, to make sure all of the spinach gets coated with the butter and garlic. Once everything is wilted down – about 3 minutes, remove from heat and cover with a lid. Let sit for 1 minute covered before serving.
